The Joy Project of Southwest Michigan is a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with cognitive impairments (ages 15+) and their families. By organizing community-focused events, parent support groups, and respite opportunities, they bridge the gap between traditional school services and adult isolation, helping participants build friendships and lead joyful lives
RISING KITES
Rising Kites Coffee, in Bridgman, MI, is a beloved nonprofit coffee shop and community space. Operated as part of the 501(c)(3) organization Rising Kites, the shop’s primary mission is to provide job training and employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, specifically Down syndrome.
